Post 1> WHO AM I?

My name is Rodrigo Greau Carreño, I am 22 years old. I was born on March 16, 2001 in the city of Melipilla. My parents are Rodrigo and Tania. I am the eldest of three siblings. The names of my little brothers are Marcelo and Jorge. In the family we have a pet narmed Laika, she is a 3 years old Beagle.


I am currently studying pedagogy in math an physics at the Universidad de  Chile and I am very happy.

I have played chess since I was four years old and I am currently the Capitain of my University´s chess team. This is my favorite sport. I also like soccer. I am a fan of the Universidad Católica team.


In my free time I like to listen to the music of bands like Morat, Illapu and Los Prisioneros. I like a lot of old music. I also like to play board games with my Siblings.

My favorite holiday are nations holidays. I enjoy the traditions and dancing cueca.

    Rodrigo your pictures are so cuteeee! I'm happy to know that your'e favorites holidays are the national days, because we're now in the national month! so I hope that we can it some of traditional foods and drinks!

    Hi Rodrigo, what it´s the most you like of the chess? I think that is a great sport, because require a big mental capacity.

      Uhmmm I like the adrenaline when there is little time left on the clock.♟️ Also, my favorite piece is the Knight!

  This photo reflects the most recent achievement in chess and the beautiful family I formed in 2023. Here we are receiving the University champions cup. After almost a year of teamwork we were able to be crowned champions of the University of Chile for the first time in our history! This happened on Saturday, October 14th of this year and it was the best tournament I have played this year. I won the University “classic” against the best player of the National Team. Additionally, I took the first place in the individual table for the first time. This photo also has a story of effort, dedication, work, commitment and unity. It represents the achievement of a whole year! My story in the team begins in 2019, and since then I had promised Professor Pablo Calvo that we would become champions. Since I started University I have had physics classes and since I like to study a lot with books I found ProyectoDescartes as an entertaining way to learn physics interactively and by simulating situations. It is a website that contains interactive books with demonstrations, explanations and simulators and is very similar to the structure of the classes. It has books on physics, biology, chemistry and even mathematics. I use this page very frequently whenever I have to study for a test, and it is the most useful tool to understand concepts that I do not understand in classes. I like this page because it teaches you the concepts or phenomena in a more visual way. Furthermore, the demonstrations or explanations are very clear. It has animations and images, which makes learning more entertaining. It is a platform with multiple interesting books. There are many topics that you can study and that may interest you. Act 1. Where I come from?

 I live in the Metropolitan Region, specifically in Melipilla. I was born in the Campo Lindo sector of  Melipilla and then I moved to the countryside when my brother Marcelo was born. We currently live in Villa Galilea with my family. It is a very quiet place and there is not contamination. It is nice to live in the cuntryside.  In the future, I would like to live in the south of Chile, near Concepción or Chillán. But I have also thought of living in Melipilla or Santiago, because I will be close to my family and I will be possible to play more chess tournaments.
